The Trust is led by a team of educators, professionals, farmers, advocates and social workers who share one belief: that rural communities can become more educated, aware and self-reliant, and can shape their own development. Each member brings lived experience from the field, and together they work towards the vision of Swayampurna Khedi.

Bharatrao Dattatraya Pagar

Chairman

Bharatrao Dattatraya Pagar

For more than four decades, Bharatrao D. Pagar has been closely connected with education, dedicating much of his life to guiding young minds and contributing to their growth. As a retired Principal, he has guided and inspired thousands of students and carries with him a deep understanding of education, people and rural life.

Coming from a farming family, he has always remained connected to his roots. His own journey through education has shaped his belief that education can open doors, build confidence and create better opportunities for the next generation.

Today, as the Chairman of Vaidehi Vatsalya Sankalp Trust, he brings together these experiences and values with a shared vision for education, rural development and community service. The Trust is, for him, a natural continuation of a life spent learning, guiding and contributing to the community around him.

His bond with farming has remained an important part of his life as well. Through Vasundhra Farm, he continues to practice organic farming and stay close to the land and the values with which he grew up. His journey brings together three things that have remained close to his heart – education, the community and the land.

While pursuing his professional career, he chose to pursue a degree in agriculture as well, driven by a genuine interest in understanding the field beyond his family's farming background.

For more than a decade, he has also been actively involved in social initiatives, including work with tribal and rural communities. His experiences have strengthened his interest in sustainable and organic farming and in creating a healthier relationship between agriculture, people and the environment.
